After completing a master plan to reposition the existing 18-story independent living building in the marketplace, including expanding services to include purpose built assisted living and memory care, Perspectus implemented the expansive total renovation of the occupied building. Part of a mixed-use development, two additional elevators were added to facilitate the increased vertical circulation of the senior living community, and to integrate the main floor with the adjacent indoor public park.
The hospitality-inspired design relocates all independent living resident program spaces from the 18th floor to the main level with added lifestyle amenities focused on wellness, including a fitness center, dining (including a bistro as well as a new commercial kitchen with state of the art equipment to accommodate an expansive menu offering), community/multi-purpose rooms, arts and crafts, library, and beauty salon. Three floors of new resident-centered assisted living and two floors of memory care are now incorporated into the community, while high-end independent living apartments on upper floors take advantage of surrounding views.
