Summa Health Patient Tower

Perspectus Architecture, in collaboration with Hasenstab Architects, designed the Dr. Gary B. and Pamela S. Williams Tower to provide a new image for Summa Health and bolster its commitment to improving health in the community it serves.

The seven-story tower addition consists of two simple curved forms, creating a new front door to the Akron campus. The interior features a light-filled two-story space, anchored by a curved wood wall that links the upper and lower spaces and guides visitors through the building. The tower includes facilities for women’s health, neonatal intensive care, private inpatient rooms, expanded surgery, breast center and main conference center.

The inpatient tower is a symbol of a Summa’s commitment to providing a facility that is representative of the high level of healthcare they provide. Interior Design Services: Detail Design Studio.
