Bill established The Emerald Jenny Foundation in Ohio to help those struggling with drug addiction find treatment options. His compassion and commitment to this state-wide initiative recently garnered him an AIA Ohio Public Service Award.
As a Principal, Peter brings his professionalism and focus on the client to every project he is a part of. He has an extensive portfolio of complex and challenging projects, but his goal has remained the same throughout his career: design spaces that support and further a client’s vision. Peter concentrates on understanding a client’s mission and delivers simple yet innovative design solutions to their most complex problems.
He specializes in the planning, programming and design of medical facilities of all scales, yet his diverse design portfolio includes projects ranging from corporate headquarters and campus projects to fire and public safety facilities for municipal clients. His strong project management and critical thinking skills make him an indispensable project leader....
Going beyond the call of duty, Peter has been an active volunteer for Habitat for Humanity for more than 20 years, and served on their board for several years. He frequently donates his time and expertise and has provided architectural designs for both renovations and new homes that have been implemented on at least 75 sites around Cleveland. Peter’s creativity and eye for detail reaches beyond the built environment and into his passion for photography, for which he has received multiple AIA Cleveland Design Awards.
Lauren is a Principal for our Historic Architecture studio and a nationally recognized leader in the field of historic preservation. Her portfolio of award-winning projects is a testament to her talent for improving design in a manner sensitive to historic structures, reprogramming existing spaces for adaptive reuse, and solving unique construction problems old buildings can present.
As an industry thought leader, Lauren routinely lectures on historic preservation, design guidelines, and preservation technology at regional and national conferences. She is an active member and past national chair of the AIA Historic Resources Committee, a peer reviewer for the Association for Preservation Technology International’s scholarly journal, The Bulletin, and was part of the advisory group that helped established the Ohio Historic Tax Credit application process.
As a Principal, Tim has dedicated his career to design, planning, and project management for government and healthcare clients. He has specialized experience in serving federal agencies and is particularly knowledgeable about agency operations, policies and procedures. He has also been instrumental in the successful development of strong commitments and mentoring relationships with several Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) partners. Well-accustomed to leading complex projects, Tim maintains an active role working collaboratively with clients and consultants throughout all stages of a project.
Tim’s attention to business and management detail has led him to his current position as Director of Operations, responsible for facilitating high staff productivity. He establishes production standards and monitors projects to ensure that standards are met for all design and contract documents, and plays a leading role in coordinating firm-wide project staffing.
As Managing Principal, Mike provides sound leadership not only on projects, but for key decisions and important initiatives that shape the future of the firm. Coupled with his reputation for service excellence, Mike has been instrumental in positioning the firm as a leader in healthcare design.

His ability to transform a client’s vision into reality is exceptional. His knowledge and understanding allow him to implement design solutions that enhance connectivity, improve operational efficiencies and elevate the patient experience. He is also known for his expertise facilitating technical equipment installations in complex medical environments and coordinating communications between multiple team members.
As a Principal of our Historic Architecture Studio, Elizabeth is dedicated to preservation and restoration technology and design. She consults with building owners and architects regarding state and federal rehabilitation tax credits, design and adaptive use related to old or historic structures, detailed restoration specifications, historic interiors and design guidelines for historic urban centers. Her specialized talents in preservation, restoration, technology and design often overlap with several of our market sectors including academic, government, hospitality and even healthcare.
Elizabeth is a Fellow of the American Institute of Architects and recipient of the AIA Ohio Gold Medal, the highest honor bestowed on an individual in the profession. As past president of AIA Ohio and past chair of the AIA National Historic Resources Committee, Elizabeth is a strong advocate for the architectural profession. She also enjoys sharing her wealth of knowledge and guiding younger architects. She serves as a Professional Peer for the GSA Design Excellence and First Impressions programs and frequently speaks at historic preservation conferences.
Vlad is a Principal who excels in design leadership across multiple practice areas including healthcare, education and laboratory design. He is highly skilled in the design of complex laboratory environments that utilize LEAN planning and design strategies that have contributed to our thriving laboratory practice. His ability to envision operational efficiencies and maximize departmental adjacencies has made him an excellent resource for our laboratory clients.
Vlad is always excited to lead innovative projects with maximum design potential and has been recognized throughout his career for his thought leadership and contributions to the architectural community.
Vlad is also an active Partner with the Cogence Alliance which strives to unite the Cleveland AEC community to elevate the design and construction industry. He has taught both undergraduate and graduate-level architecture students and is well situated as the leader of our mentorship program for newly registered architects and those pursuing registration.
Sal is a Managing Principal with extensive design and project management experience, leading some of the firm’s largest and most notable healthcare projects. As a skilled communicator, he is particularly adept at working with clients to establish clear consensus on highly specialized and complex projects.
He draws upon that same experience to decisively lead Perspectus forward and solidify plans for the firm’s growth. His depth of knowledge and design acumen also position him as a valued mentor among staff at all levels.
Sal is committed to delivering leading-edge designs focused on patient care. He also believes great buildings are the result of many creative individuals working together. Always encouraging teamwork, Sal uses his keen ability to identify goals and define challenges, and actively engages all team members to brainstorm creative solutions, and ensure the most innovative design ideas are cultivated.
Jim’s more than 30 years of experience in architectural design and firm management, position him well for his role as a Principal and leader of our Senior Living and Clubs + Hospitality studios. His original training as an artist led him to discover his love for architecture and solving problems through creating a synergy of art, design, engineering and construction. His work has also been honored with numerous design awards over the years.
His project experience also includes academic, municipal and healthcare projects, but as an EDAC certified professional (Evidence-Based Design Accreditation and Certification) he is a dedicated proponent of innovative design for the aging and he excels at developing design solutions that are person-centered and rooted in research. His experience in Senior Living ranges from life plan communities, independent living, assisted living, and memory care to skilled nursing and rehabilitation facilities.
Jim has also earned a reputation as a premier club architect by providing design services to more than 25 public and private golf, tennis and yachting clubs across the Midwest and Florida. He is a frequent speaker on country club and senior living design trends at conferences across the country.
