The 32-bed memory care addition completed by Perspectus is the prototype for the owner/operator. The open plan layout with decentralized living spaces creates a residential room-to-room circulation pattern and maintains sightlines to living spaces for staff supervision.
The open kitchen is centrally located, providing a strong visual anchor, and encourages resident participation in activities of daily living. The secured outdoor courtyard aids with orientation and provides a therapeutic, sensory programmed space.
The resident rooms are designed to allow maximum visibility for staff to see residents by shifting the resident toilet rooms to the rear of the unit. The resident also has a clear, direct sightline to their toilet from their bed.
The 60-bed, resident-centered skilled nursing addition offers all private suites with fully accessible bathrooms and provides a full continuum of care to the existing 400-unit independent and assisted living facilities.
