Perspectus wins two awards at 2021 Celebration of Preservation

May 21, 2021 // Recognition, Historic

Perspectus was honored to accept awards for 2 projects during Cleveland Restoration Society and AIA Cleveland's Celebration of Preservation, held virtually this year.

Public Auditorium Music Hall received the Outstanding Reinstatement of a Historic Interior Award.
“The Music Hall is a great example of balance between restoring and recreating important lost and damaged historic features while adjusting the space to accommodate ADA requirements and modern technology. The resulting space is truly an improvement and has enlivened the historic theatre space. The renovation has brought back its original sparkling grandeur,” shared the Cleveland Restoration Society (CRS) during the ceremony.

The Music Hall project’s scope was extensive, but our team was flexible, knowledgeable, and ready to take on this great historic building.

Prospect Yard received the Excellence in Urban Adaptive Reuse Award.
The project team for Prospect Yard worked diligently to respect the building's history, while meeting the needs of a new purpose and time. They took special care in preserving features of the building that link back to Cleveland’s manufacturing heritage and integrate seamlessly with the new use and 21st-century operational standards.

“The Stuyvesant motor company building has been transformed into 42 1-2-bedroom loft style apartment units combining highly desirable characteristics of market rate properties not often found within affordable family units. The rehabilitation project also brought economic and community benefits to the area through the creation of construction jobs and by way of spending directed funds at local businesses within the cities entertainment district and revitalized downtown,” said CRS about Prospect Yard.
