Perspectus set the stage for this project by documenting other University Hospitals community health centers to identify consistent design elements. Common signage, brick or glass color, metal panels, curvature and geometric features, defined UH’s architectural brand, and guided the North Ridgeville facility design.
UH wanted the facility to be highly visible to visitors from the adjacent highways. Large roof planes act as a backdrops for exterior signage and offer clear wayfinding to the ER and main entrance. The two-story lobby welcomes visitors with natural daylight and serves as the central hub for visitors moving through the space. The health center also affords scenic views of an adjacent pond for both patients and staff to enjoy. In collaboration with CBLH Design.
