Perspectus, in collaboration with Hasenstab Architects, designed Summa Health’s new two-story Stow-Kent Medical Center.
Anchored by a metal panel and a glass curtainwall façade representative of Summa’s new brand, the entry level of the building consists of an Imaging Department, Laboratory Services, Urgent Care, and a Community Center.
The second floor integrates buff terracotta that ties in the aesthetic of other Summa medical centers and consists of 26,000 square feet of physician medical office practices. The care model developed for the physician practices is designed with flexibility in mind, by offering universal exam rooms, shared treatment and support spaces, and both collaborative and private caregiver work areas. Practices consist of Internal Medicine, Cardiac Care, Neurology, OBGYN and Urology.
The building is designed and sited to accommodate a future 12,000 SF Ambulatory Surgery Center addition to the East, allowing a smooth transition into the existing common space.
