Perspectus, in collaboration with CBLH, designed the two-story MetroHealth Brecksville Health and Surgery Center. The facility is anchored by a central, two-story lobby known as “the Lantern” for its luminescent quality at night. This maximizes visibility from the interstate and facilitates navigation to the emergency department.
Expansive glass walls and clerestories allow natural daylight to illuminate the lobby, waiting areas and corridors on both floors. Clear exterior views improve wayfinding within common areas, including the reception/check-in area, which is situated just off the lobby. The first floor surgery center features a dedicated lobby, adorned with wood accents and carpeting patterned in neutral tones to create a calming atmosphere for patients and guests. The building also offers an imaging department, pharmacy, and infusion center.
Through this project, Perspectus developed a system-wide primary care model that focuses on physician time with the patient locating physician offices within the exam areas. Architect of Record: CBLH Design.
