The City of Twinsburg purchased the once private club with a desire to create an upscale golfing venue for the public with a new clubhouse as a community asset to attract the community well beyond the typical golf season. Perspectus was engaged to develop a site master plan for the property including the clubhouse and a new street for a future residential development. The clubhouse, situated on a bluff overlooking the 18th green and water feature beyond, is designed at a low pedestrian scale on the front elevation that rises toward the back of the site to maximize the views. The pro-shop, restaurant, bar and community banquet center all open to an extensive patio and event space with a central fireplace feature. The restaurant’s design pays homage to Twinsburg’s past using materials salvaged from the historic Chrysler Stamping Plant to craft furniture and fixtures.
