The Mansfield Arts Center, designed by Don Hisaka and built in 1970, is itself a piece of art. As Design Architect, Perspectus conceptualized an addition that respects and enhances the existing building, while inspiring and supporting those who gather there to learn, teach and create.
The ceramic and glass arts studio is an extension of the existing education studios, re-imagining the spaces to be flexible and adaptable. The classroom space is subdivided by mobile modular storage units that allow for easy reconfiguration. Floor-to-ceiling glass put the process of making art on display, offering views from outside to the kilns inside. Architect of Record: The Seckel Group Architects.
